The New City South family includes many “prayer warriors” who are eager to pray on behalf of our congregation and other needs brought to their attention. I have a couple of prayer request for some friends of mine.
1. There is this little girl named Keira. She is now 9 years old. When she was 7 she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. She went into remission, but not for long. Last year she relapsed and her cancer came back with a vengeance. She is continually spreading across her tiny body. She has been such a fighter and continue to be. Her family and doctors have tried everything the slow down the cancer. Keira has been really sick from all the treatments and what not. The other day after some scans were done. They found out that the cancer has spread to her shoulders and back in her bone marrow. And now is having spinal cord issues that's causing her not to feel her lower half. The doctors had to talk to the family and let them know that there is nothing else they can do for Keira, but keep her on pain meds. The cancer is just spreading too fast. So Keira now knows that she doesn't have much time left. So please please please pray for her and her family as they face this devastating news. Please pray for a miracle and for the family to be a peace with whatever god has in store for them.
2. A old friend of mine was just hospitalized last Tuesday with sickle cell crisis. Along with pneumonia and other issues. She was moved to ICU and is now on a ventilator. Her name is Angie. Angie is really sick right now as the doctors try to treat her. She has a husband and two small children. Please pray that the gets restored back to health and get to go home to her family.
