Online Evening Prayer

As the global COVID pandemic became increasingly real to us, we began to meet together for prayer on Zoom. With the cries for justice for African Americans of late, these times continue in relevance and importance. We meet on Monday evenings from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. All ages are welcome to join in.

We  follow a simple evening prayer format, which ties back to a tradition called “Compline” –simply meaning prayers for the end of the day. The time is led by Pastor Roy Hubbard and others in our congregation. There are  several open minutes for free and spontaneous prayer and other time devoted to reading a portion of the Psalms, etc.
